Evolving the best place for nerds to work
Maintaining a growth model in a rapidly changing industry has required The Nerdery to continuously evolve it’s service offerings and recruiting methods to adapt to the ever changing technology industry. The Nerdery’s marketing needs have been no different, requiring marketing solutions that are as much agile as they are compelling.
Following a corporate name change, The Nerdery began building a new identity to reflect a redirected vision and array of services. I worked with stakeholders to focus goals and identify the brand’s attributes: smart, inquisitive and accessible. We defined vintage scientific imagery as an inspirational foundation for a new identity system. Science would support the smart and inquisitive attributes of the brand while a vintage element would provide accessibility and delight for customers and staff. I refined and standardize current identity elements including messaging, logo marks, color systems and supporting artwork. These changes were the building blocks for a series of external pieces I designed and directed supporting sales representatives and conversion-based marketing campaigns. To support talent recruiting and retention, I used the new identity work as a footing to create a series of internal pieces for new employee on-boarding, corporate initiatives and clubs.
